Living In The Filth Called Corruption...

From past few days whenever i try to take a peek-a-boo at the newspaper being sold at the Local railway station, one of the prominent news that catches my attention is "Lokpal Bill". A thin and petite old man who is fondly referred to as Anna Hazare with Gandhian virtues has taken down a mission on war footing to eradicate the muck of corruption from our society. With all due respect to Anna ji and his noble cause, i am affirmative that if this was just a muck it could have been removed but what happens if muck turns into something as hard as cement and is settled in the heart, mind & soul of each & every individual? This reminds me that recently while surfing the Idiot box, i happened to hear some messenger of people's voice, the word in the dictionary is known as Journalist, scream on top of his voice that "Lokpal Bill will be passed soon and the day for second struggle of independence will be marked in the Indian Constitution". Heartiest congratulations to everyone for this victory however just one question will this Lokpal Bill ensure getting rid of the termites, i.e evils gnawing on our society slowly?
A general opinion of people about corruption is giving money Illegitimately to get their legitimate work done for which there are many speakers who would go blah blah blah however they simply ignore the other issues that actually pile up to this bigger evil. For instance, take an autorickshaw, first fight with the driver for a legitimate fare and then when you reach your destination, the driver suddenly has no change. You end up paying some extra bucks and the driver smiles cheekily and tells you "What difference will few rupees make". Bwahhhaaa,you would have lectured him on imporatnce of money, if you had the time. Another example if you go to a new city, completely unaware of the language, of the rules, of the places, you are considered as an alien (i guess may be 'Jaadu' will get a better welcome), you go for buying some basic stuff like vegetables and suddenly for you the rates change to a higher level and the reason you hear is that "This is how it is in this place"
I am not listing out the major issues that create the money mongers not because of lack of time or writing space but simply due to the fact that there is no point in saying the same thing time & again, as we know that actions speak louder than words.
All i can say is that I personally feel that I eat, drink & sleep corruption and when the time comes for foecal movement i unknowingly get constipated...

Vinita got the tests done & it was the same old story again, it’s all fine with her, it was Upendra who possibly had low sperm count. To determine exactly the difference between his sperm count & the actual count, he needs to get certain tests done. But whenever this topic comes up at home, he turned a deaf ear towards it.

Why men can’t accept anything lacking or wrong in them. A biological defect as critical as   x-x or y-y chromosomes or even the low sperm count or ovary count, is also blamed on the female species. Modern man now stuck in his orthodox & chauvinistic cobweb has come to this self assessment that barrenness is a woman’s forte.

By the way it’s been 5 years since you got married, when do we get to eat the sweets of you both becoming proud parents?”

Upendra (frowning) – “I am not as lucky as you Surya. Doctor has said we can’t become Parents”

Surya Kant – “Have you consulted any Gynaecologist?”

Upendra – “Yes, we have consulted the best Gynaecologists in Delhi however there seems no hope. We even got tests done & Vinita’s report is all fine”

Surya Kant – “Why don’t you also get your tests done, sperm count or whatever is required?”

Upendra – “There is nothing wrong with me. Come-on you are also a man, you should know we are born error-free. Anyways, all this is not important now, it’s better we complete the presentation for tomorrow’s annual review meet”

RAMDEV - BABA OR BLACK SHEEP??

Ramdev in the recent news  threatened to train 11000 hindustanis to prevent khakhiwalas to stop his protest against corruption..11000 innocent fools to be sacrificed in the name of anti-corruption protest..a classic example of Saffron Terror..if he really thinks about the best interest of the nation then why go to the five-star to discuss with the government about the kala-dhan issue???...a.c ki hawa aur gaddedar kursiyon pe shayad baba jyada ache se dhyaan kar pate hain..

Anna ji never went anywhere..he told everyone to come to his protest site & talk in front of the public..thats why he has numerous supporters even across the globe..he is a true Gandhian..believes in peaceful protest unlike Ramdev who reminds me of the saying " barking dogs seldom bite" "dum daba ke bhagana"

Anna ji is demanding for a permanent solution to curb corruption in the form of Jan Lokpal Bill where as Ramdev is just questioning about the crores n crores of nation's moolah meant for the growth & development of the country, tucked away in Swiss bank & expensive properties..Babaji will corruption stop permanently if the black money is bought back??

Baba ji agar itni parwah hai desh ki toh jo crores of rupees jo khopche mein chupa ke rakhe ho usey desh ki garibi mitane mein daan kar dijiye..May be plans to remove poverty & unemployment by his asanas..lolzzz

Even if he wants to protest against the malices in our country he should first just limit to one cause "Black Money" n yes, someone tell baba that his equisite island worth 300 crores in Scotland in the name of his trust may not be black money however is still robbing "desh ki sampati"..this 300 crores would have done wonders for people who live in the BPL category or are nothing but a daily wage labour for 80-100 rs per day.

Roti, Kapda aur Makaan seems to be a far far reality for many & now mehangai dayan is eating away on the aamdani...any yoga aasan to solve these problems..patanjali jana hoga ya baba ki army join karni hogi??

Kinnars - The Elapsed Aradhnareshwar (Part-2)

Now since we have learned about the ancient demi-god linkage of these 'Kinnars' and the current superficial version of the same. Another thought that comes to my mind is their profession, where in both by choice & by chance they have to opt either for Begging(which is not a profession as such, however for them it is counted as one) or for Prostitution.

The profession of prostitution has though been there since the time of Vatsayana's Kamasutra however post modernism only it has taken an ugly form. The 'Hijras' who willingly or unwillingly choose to satisfy the sexual hunger of the men wearing a facade of 'societal obligation', are blamed for creating this menace and also spreading the Sexually transmitted Diseases. Well the act of sex happens between both the 'Hijras' and the 'Client', then why is the latter party spared of all the humiliations & allegations, even the elite class enjoy the bodily pleasure they recieve by the third sex, however it is only one of the dual lives they have hidden from the society & family. Who should be blamed - 'Sex-Giver or Sex-Monger?', a question which is mostly passed on as 'no comments' or 'to each his own' or 'what difference can i make'

This form of sexuality was during the Vedic times was considered very natural. The third sex was then known as 'TRITIYA PRAKRITI'. Let us now understand how this gender was then perceived and why the name 'Tritiya Prakriti'

Kinnars - The Elapsed Aradhnareshwar

The outcast, the unforgotten, the debarred, the third sex and even more derogatorily called by the modern India's hyprocritic society as the 'CHAKKAS'. 
The time machine of our society's cultural, social, economical & physiological development has no doubt seen a galloping progress however the humanitarian attitude seems to be going backward.One such example I can think of is the journey of being born as a 'KINNAR' to being born as a 'HIJRA'. Most of us will say the words mean the same, third sex, eunuchs,transgenders etc without realising the hidden difference in the meaning of these two words. The same Kinnars who were welcomed with all respect by our fore fathers for various special function coz of their auspicious or demi god status, are now simply looked upon by majority with disgust & hatred.
However, as many of us live our lives wearing a facade of "Miss/Mr. Goody Two Shoes", we consider the presence of this third gender as pious. It is here for some moments of selfishness we give them the respect of being a Kinnar. Irony at its best, those who are considered at one moment as pious & auspicious,a demi-godly form of Shiva,Bahuchatra Mata, Krishna-Aravan, our looked upon with disgust & anger. Probably we would consider watching a pile of filth in front of our house rather than watching a Hijra.

** The Hijras and Lord Shiva

 Sounds pretty much contradictory, one are people who fluctuate between being a demi-god & devilish status and the other is A GOD himself. Well 'Kinnar' would have been more suitable  here.
One of the forms of Lord Shiva is merging with Parvati, better known as 'Aradhnareshwar or Aradhnari', half Shiva & half Parvati, worshipped especially for bringing prosperity & love in a husband-wife relationship.Even now in many parts of India, especially North India, Aradhnari is worshipped during various occassions like marriage,child-birth, new property etc where these ' Hijra' are called upon to give their blessings & offered
a lucrative fees for their presence, considered benign at that moment.
Well as double faced as we are, on encountering the same transgender species in public transports or simply at a place,we try all attempts to avoid them due to a fear that is simply nonsensicle.

**Origin of Badhai - we have all grown watching & listening to the great epic Ramayana & one can distinctively remember the 14-year exile period Lord Rama had to go through along with Mata Sita & brother Laxman. On his return to Ayodhya after the adventurous 14 years Lord Rama finds Hijras,neither men nor women, are still seating at the place where he gave his speech. Impressed with their devotion, he grants a boon  to 'Kinnars' to confer blessings on people during auspicious inaugural occasions like childbirth and weddings. This boon is the origin of badhai in which hijras sing, dance, and give blessings.


**Aravan & Mohini 

Nobody can forget the epic battle held at Kurukshetra in Mahabharatha. Just before the battle Aravan starts worshipping Goddess Kali by offering his lifeblood to ensure victory of Pandavas and the goddess agrees to grant him power.Aravan expressed a desire to marry on the night prior to the battle however no woman was willing to marry a man on whose head the sword of death was hanging, about to strike in few hours.
On seeing this Lord Krishna decides to fulfill his desire & assumes the form of a beautiful woman.
This woman was called 'Mohini' who marries 'Aravan.'

There are more forms for which the 'Kinnars' had acquired the demi-god status however now demi(half man half woman) has seperated from GOD.The cherry on the cake for this post modernism yet orthodox attitude is the reaction of people when encountered by this third sex. People have come to believe that a 'Hijra' has the power to give a blessing as well as a curse, that comes true. Obviously majority of us would want blessings, so we give them cash or kind. When we say 'God is One', then how do we assume that a particular species can be held reponsible for good or bad omen or may be we just want to assume- ass+u+me.

How many times have we heard slogans like “She Rocks”....no count i suppose..................             however IN VAIN.

Sadly still female infanticide is galloping with a high speed even in the new age of gender equality gets us thinking about the imbalance of human cycle we might soon face. Sadly this evil still is prevalent in many rural as well as urban, as a matter of great pride & honour. The same girl who is worshipped during the 9 days of fasting and also as goddess of wealth, is put to a long sleep before she even sees the sunlight. I wonder in coming years who are these stalwarts, the so called gender biased clan please for getting health, wealth & happiness.

Are we living in free India or an India free of us?

Female Infanticide
It is the homicide of a female infant, usually considered by many a cultural honour. Unfortunately this gender bias has closed our brains in such a way that we do not foresee the negative impact this will have on our society, counting to an approximate surplus of 20 million males by 2020. The day is not far when India soon be brought down to barbarianism due to “No Woman’s Land”, resulting in a future dystopia of our society.

I feel sad to think with women getting 33% reservation in country, the Sheila’s or the Munni’s (more relatively familiar now-a-days), are still moving the downward slope of gender ratio. Who are the men going to please or persuade when the very essence of humanity, that is a woman, become like another extinct species. Busy in saving the Tigers, the men have forgotten that it’s a girl not a tiger that they would prefer sitting behind them on the bike.

The most beautiful form of this species is a ‘Mother’ and people say since god can not be everywhere that is why he created women. So, if we do close statistical observation, would it be correct to say that

“Our belief in god is also faltering?”

Also gender equality will only be implemented in true sense when a girl is allowed to survive to smile or weep and not introduced to the earthly creeps.

Although the health & development organization WHO claims to a comeback trail for the girl child, still the fall in female infanticide of an approximate number of 500,000 to 700,000 missing girls every year(United Nation’s statistics) seems like a far away reality. In rural as well as urban India this gruesome act is still considered a wise course of action where killing baby girl is no big sin and to end their existence supposedly saves the self confessed honourary killers from bad fortune for themselves and their families.

On one hand Sons are preferred to take the family name further and considered as insurance as they bring income in comparison to the girls. On the other hand these same wise ones for good wealth pray to Goddess Laxmi, who is ironically a ‘Female’.
So with no girls left to bless them with wealth, how will the insurance(a son) provide future income assurance?

A very dear friend told me “Every Human Life Is Sacred”, so does this mean the stalwarts of religion & culture put a façade on their faces while praying to the goddess and the Satan within them comes out while they perform this so called sacred sin?

Inspite of government of India making sex determination with the help of ultrasound machine illegal, this ultrasound technology that aids the pro-life movement is still a death warrant for a baby girl in the womb. Government’s efforts to curb this malpractice have gone in vain or something close to it, resulting in vast and uncorrectable social consequences. The hope for a wife and family is slowly becoming ‘gone with the wind’ for the young men, as the fear of broken branches of their family tree is becoming a reality.

Marriage for centuries has been considered an institution to tame the young males. With no girls left, these males will loose their prospect of normal sex and family life, a quint-essential part of marital bliss. This imbalance will soon lead to increased militarism in the country putting forth a great challenge to the society and humanity.

Lastly to conclude with a ray of hope in my heart to eventually see this war on baby girls end, I would just say

INDIAN ARMY – THE NEPOTISM DIVIDE

From nearly two & half centuries our Indian Army has been looked up with great admiration for its spirit, bravery, conduct and hospitality. Since the day I came into this world the essence of leading a class life has been infused into my blood, owing it to my father being in the same profession and others in the family as well. The comfort & upbringing are no doubt the best a child can dream of, be it studying in one of the “ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL”, making use of the sports facility or simply loitering around in the club while the parents are busy playing Tambola.

Being called an Army brat was nothing short of being a self confessed show-off amongst the civilian friends however off late my pride & belief in the organization has deferred. Indian Army as we know has still got the lowest recruitment percentage and highest attrition level. Is the fact that your life can be put at stake any time, the only reason for youth not choosing Indian Army? Well over the past couple of years, I have come across numerous other reasons. Words like corruption, unfair practice, bribery etc have become favorites of the Indian Army and added to this long sinful list is the word “NEPOTISM”.

Nepotism, that is, preferential treatment is meted out not just from person to person but also seen amongst the different sections of the forces.

To give a brief, the Indian Army is divided into two kinds of forces –

1. Fighting Force - such as Infantry, Armed, Artillery which takes away the cherry on the cake for being the reason for nation’s pride with the VSM, AVSM, PVSM being offered to the officers mainly from these Corps. Though the locations they are sent to our unimaginable to the common man however the favoritism they are showered with are no doubt a strong discrimination in comparison to the other departments. Be it the pay scale or higher promotion percentage into the 3 star (Generals) bracket or simply getting preference where allotting accommodation is concerned. They have always remained an “Apple of Indian Army’s Eye”

2. Support Services – ASC, Signals, EME, Ordinance, Intelligence and others which are the backbone of the entire Indian Army performing duties ranging from logistics to keeping a track of highly sensitive information. However a whiff of being neglected has been sensed by these services over the years. Someone I met said “I feel like being treated as a Second-Rate citizen.” They are also soldiers and if we go by the phrase “Brothers In Arm”, I regret to say that the brotherhood seems to be lost somewhere and has become department and religion or caste biased

     Is this another interpretation of Karl Marx’s The Haves and The Have - Nots?

With such a divide between the worlds’s largest army how do we expect the young blood to even consider Indian Army as a career option and that too not as an alternative? Come to think of it this divide is not known to the public. However once it is known it is accurate as it would come right from the horse’s mouth.

Think of Indian Army as a human body where the fighting forces can be the shoulders, hands, arms and legs that holds the arms & ammunitions.

The support services can be the stomach, brain, mouth & ear or other relevant body part. Few examples how support services help in the functioning of Indian Army.

ASC – stomach – as it takes care of the rationing of the soldiers. To fight the enemy it is important for our soldiers too get timely and adequate supply of ration. The ASC also is responsible for the transport & petrol or diesel provided in the Army. I am sure nobody can imagine being in this profession without the transport facility. After all going to Kargil or Siachin Glacier is not an evening stroll that one takes. Most Importantly the Army would not be able to participate in the Republic Day Parade if there was no transport like One-Tons, Three-Tons, Jeep, Jonga & Staff Car.

SIGNALS – mouth & ear – as it is the department for telecommunication. Without this department the communication amongst all the departments will be impossible. Also how would the fighting forces put forward their urgent requirement of more men or ammunitions during a war situation, the enemy is not going to wait for them to go to the base & get the needful. Also this telecommunication service helps to track any call made by the terrorists or even the infiltrators to plan their strategies accordingly.

There are many other departments in the support services which are equally important in making our Indian Army the 3^rd largest army in the world. My apologies for not writing about them since I have no proper knowledge of their work and do not want to beat around the bush

Now, without these pre requisite support services our Indian Army, which is a replica of human body will be nothing but a vegetable, all ready to be chopped by the enemy forces.

To, conclude Indian Army is although one for all and all for one, however this is limited only within certain departments or amongst a certain sect of soldiers.

In the end I would like to put forward a question to you all, “WHY DESTINY’S CHILD IN THE ARMY SHOULD BE THE FIGHTING FORCES ONLY?”

AARUSHI TALWAR - THE DEAD SOUL

" 67 WITNESSES QUESTIONED..67 MORE TIMES AARUSHI DIED"

Aarushi Talwar, aged 14, born on 24 May 1993..died on 15th May 2008, just few days before her 15th Birthday. If Aarushi was alive she would have been right now preparing & getting butterflies for her 12th board exams.

After exactly 2yrs,9 months,18 days..CBI decides to close the case, putting a final DEATH STAMP on her. They say soul never dies, but Aarushi's soul is dead.

Although i have complete faith in our Judicial System, but somehow off lately it seems to have dettered. Have the Stalwarts who run the Judicial System of the nation with largest democrac, failed to ensure justice even after so much probing & investigations.

Has the innocence fallen prey to the Unresponsive Universe again?

It appears that again the policy of  Fair Justice has died deep down somewhere in the sub conscious of the so called ' JANTA KE RAKSHAK.' On the Ashok Chakra it is mentioned ' SATYAMEV JAYATE..TRUTH LIVES FOREVER ', has the truth gone to the dogs, to be hounded & brutally scratched to bits n pieces.

Children are future of The New Generation India, galloping towards economical & financial  growth. Aarushi Talwar sooner or later may also have joined this league and taken our country to new heights. Alas! the politicos are too busy in signing new treaties with other countries, that the cries of Aarushi's Soul fell on deaf years.

I hope this time JUSTICE WILL BE A FAIR PLAY N NOT BECOME DELAYED is equal to DENIED?
